Cam
Flabel

Camp Director

Cam Flabel brings elite college-level experience, energy, and passion to the Gate City Basketball Camp. He is currently the Associate Head Coach at Hawai‘i Pacific University, where he has helped build one of the PacWest’s top defensive programs.

Entering his fifth season with HPU, Coach Flabel became the youngest Associate Head Coach at the NCAA Division I or II level in 2024. He has played a key role in the program’s success, including a historic season-opening win over Boise State University in 2025–26.

A Boise, Idaho native, Coach Flabel founded the Gate City Basketball Camp in 2020, and this summer marks its 7th consecutive year. A true “camp guy,” he currently directs Hawai‘i Pacific University’s youth and prospect camps and travels to Tokyo, Japan each summer to work basketball camps overseas. He is passionate about teaching the game the right way, mentoring young athletes, and creating a fun, high-energy environment where players can grow on and off the court.

Jayden
Wright

Director of Operations

Jayden is entering his seventh year with the Gate City Basketball Camp and has been part of the program since its very beginning. Known for his high energy, vocal coaching style, and strong leadership, Jayden makes a major impact on campers every summer. In addition to working on the court, he oversees all camp logistics to ensure everything runs smoothly. A standout local athlete at Highland High School, Jayden went on to play two seasons at Green River College and currently competes at McPherson College. His experience, passion, and commitment make him a cornerstone of the camp staff.

Adee
Butler

Director of Camper & Parent Relations

Adee brings exceptional leadership, communication, and attention to detail to the Gate City Basketball Camp. While best known for her success in volleyball, she is also an outstanding basketball player and coach who builds strong relationships with campers and families. Adee will serve in a variety of roles, including leading communication between parents and staff. She currently competes at Seattle University, but previously was at Utah Tech from 2023–24, earning All-WAC All-Freshman and All-Academic honors. She was also a standout athlete at Century High School as a two-time All-State selection and All-Area MVP. Her professionalism and care for every camper make her an invaluable part of the team.

ike
Sutton

Ike Sutton is a fan favorite known for his infectious energy, leadership, and love for the game. Now a freshman at Hawai‘i Pacific University, Ike has already earned a spot in the rotation, a rare accomplishment at the Division II level. A proven winner, he led Hillcrest High School to a state championship, four district titles, and surpassed 1,000 career points, while earning multiple All-Idaho and conference honors. Ike brings championship experience, strong character, and a positive attitude to camp, inspiring campers both on and off the court.
